 DANCES FROM SARAJEVO S SOURROUNDINGS; Koreography: Vladimir Mandičevski

    This coreography represents the combination of several dances of Serbian populations that are played during wedding ceremonies and other celebrations. Geographical location and living style caused the appearance of specific way of dancing, charactersed by heavy and emphasized movements.All dances are incoporated with by music and songs. National clothes are also accommodated to conditions of rural way of living so they were of hursh material and decorated by small details such as faces, fassels, jewelary. Different details on clothes show your social status, occupation etc. Particulary, clothes clothes of „dimije" - which is a muslim's nationl clothes for women, is interested. This is consequence of longlasting influence of Turkis culture in this area. It's important to mention that all costumes are handmade and decorated and some of them are old almost 100 yeas, which gives them special values.


   SERBIAN URBAN DANCES FROM SARAJEVO; Koreography: Vladimir Mandičevski

    The coreography presents part of living style connected to smaller part of town, where wealthier Serbian families lived. Influence of Turkish and Austro-Hungarien lord s, that lived on this area, caused change of dancing style, so all of the dances are characterist by elegant movements with less emphasized and smothly movements of a body. In this way gentlemen were showing their dignity and refind upbringing. All of dances are followed by music and some of them are played with songs. It's important to mention that these dances originate from the end of 19th century, which means (that) their traditions are shorter but their importance and originality are same as the importance of old nationatl dances. Clothes are made of fine materials, it's simple and elegant and usually decorated with jewelary.


   DANCES FROM KREŠEVO; Koreography : Dragutin Ivančanin

    This coreography is mostly played by Serbian and Croatian population from middle Bosnia, so style and way of playing is similar to previous dances. Kresevo also represents combination of temperament dances that young men played to show their knowledge abilities and to compete between each other. National clothing is, similar to presents one same, which is consequence of mutual life of this two nations during the past. Some of the dances are connected with miner's colonies near Kresevo and followed by humouristic and joyfull songs.


  DANCES FROM GLAMOČ; Koreography : Nedžmija Kukričar

    This coreography is different from any you have seen before. This dance is played without music. The rytham is produced by dancers and their feet with a help of metal jingles needleworkedc to women clothes and evertything under the command of one dancer. Traditional dance originated in Vojna Krajina - in Southwestern Bosnia and it was considered a specific test of healthy and ability of a girl, who might become a wife of a man she is dancing with. Dance is followed by girl's song that serves to show an interest and love for a chosen man. Mutual Glamoc's dance (nijemo glamocko kolo) is one of the most characteristic and most beautiful dances from the whole Balcan. As you can see, clothes are characteristic for their simplicity, its cuts and colours, but with a noumerous decorative elements and specific metal jingles!


  DANCES FROM ŠUMADIJA; Koreography : Nedžmija Kukričar

    Coreography shows Serbian dances from Republic of Serbia, more exactly from Sumadija. Those are dances full of singing, joy and exclamations. Playfull and fast movements, variable rytham and competition between dancers are some of the characteristics of these dances. Costumes from this area are simple with lot of gaudu patterns and flower desings, exspecially on socks and shirts and all are made of fine materials.


   VRANJANSKA SVITA; Koreography: Mladen Krsman

    This is a coreography which shows specific way of living and social differences of people who lived in Southern Serbia in the 18th-19th century. It's a story about beauty and happiness, dignity and carelessness, wealth and poverty. Dancers are divided into wealthy men and women: „begovi i begovice", young gipsies - „coceci" and beautiful gipsy woman - Kostana -who seduces everyone with her dance. This is a story of useless try to recall the past and bring back the memories of old times. The oldest „beg" starts dance with a sad song of youth and other dancers join him, so the story begins. Wealthy people dance proudly, slowly with emphasised mouvements - they want to show their dignity, and social status. On the other side, there are gipsy dansers who dance joyfully, energeticaly, enjoing in music, freedom and youth. At this region of EX-Jugoslavia there isn't a dance which better shows the beautiful world of joy, happiness, love and pride, than this one.


   EASTERN HERCEGOVINA; Koreography: Mladen Krsman

    This coreography is composed of dances which were played by Serbian people in Eastern Hercegovina in the 19 century. Most of dances are played without musical support, so the dancers produce the rytham by their steps, which are heavy and emphasized. Few of dances are followed by men's and women's songs. These songs were sang for entertaiment, it was the specific way of competition between men and women from this area. Dances showed in the coreography were danced during rejoicing and fairs, and they present the part of cultural life of Bosnian inhabitants.
